Summary

Mr. Mike Nigro is an executive business professional with a 29 year history of building, managing, and leading international environmental engineering and information technology consulting firms. His entrepreneurial spirit and success make him an invaluable asset to Deep Water Point clients.

Accomplishments

In 1982, Mr. Nigro began building a wholly-owned subsidiary named PRC Environmental Management Inc. In 1996, this subsidiary was sold to Tetra Tech. As president, Mr. Nigro grew his company from 600 employees to 1400 employees and created a presence in 48 offices around the world. In 2000, he was promoted to corporate officer and executive vice president and successfully managed this $400 million global division.

Mr. Nigro went on to join Project Performance Corporation (PPC) where he led a management buy-out of the company. Under his leadership, the company expanded its presence in the federal and commercial environment and IT consulting arena and tripled its size to $65 million in annual revenue. The company grew to more than 300 professionals throughout the Washington metropolitan area.

PPC’s organic growth was due to Mr. Nigro’s leadership in providing a workplace culture that fostered creativity, promoted career advancement, and taught all aspects of entrepreneurship to the employees. He also ensured that PPC was a strong participant in the community, followed environmentally sound business practices, and focused on solving those complex problems that make a difference in the lives of people. In 2007, the company was named as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the Washington DC area by Washingtonian Magazine.

In 2008, Mike sold PPC to AEA Technology Inc. (AEA), a London-based climate change and energy efficiency management consulting company, and assumed the position as AEA’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Member.
