Summary

Mr. Gary Hobbs is a dedicated business leader who brings a broad range of expertise to his Deep Water Point projects. He has held a variety of positions advising and assisting his clients with such issues as organizational structure, creating strategic business plans, establishing annual budgets, putting a variety of policies and procedures in place, and instituting cost reduction/containment plans. Additionally, he has put into place cash flow management plans, created cost centers, helped to establish bid rates, and pricing policies. He has advised on all aspects of business development including pipeline creation, opportunity capture, bid strategy, pricing strategy, proposal development, pink and red team reviews, and transition planning and execution.

Accomplishments

Gary was COO of Unisys Federal Systems, based in Reston, Va.  In this capacity, he had the responsibility for improving the overall operational effectiveness across Federal Systems.  He is an expert in reengineering organizational structures to maximize efficient operations by reducing non value-added staff, reorganizing departmental functions to a centralized approach and decreasing overhead expenditures to enhance a competitive cost posture. 

Prior to joining Unisys, Gary served as the president of Asia Pacific holdings at PSINet.  In that position, he directed all operations in the Asia Pacific region including operations in seven countries with revenues of more than $150 million. 

Previously, Gary was the president of DynCorp Information and Enterprise Technology, Inc., where he was responsible for the growth, performance and overall P&L of the $700 million organization that included 8,000 personnel in all 50 states and several foreign countries. 

Earlier in his career, Gary was president of Northrop Grumman Technical Services, where he provided day-to-day planning, operations, and execution of 60 information technology contracts and managed more than 5,000 employees located in 25 geographically dispersed sites. 

Gary had an 11-year career with Computer Sciences Corporation, culminating with his position as president of the Applied Technology Division, providing professional services and solutions for information technology, base operations, and outsourcing contracts to federal and state clients. 

Beginning his career at Ford Aerospace Corporation, Gary accumulated hands-on experience as a project manager on several large contracts for the FAA, the Department of Commerce and DoD.
