Summary

Mr. Curtis Porter is an executive leader with 20 years experience providing senior management consulting, strategic management, acquisition, and program management leadership.  Mr. Porter has been highly successful in leading change, managing diverse teams and delivering large-scale, mission critical projects on schedule and budget.  Mr. Porter was instrumental in the development and implementation of the FAA’s National Airspace System communication’s architecture.

Accomplishments

Prior to joining DWP, Mr. Porter was vice president of Engineering and Acquisition Services for Cummings & Associates, Inc. (CAA).  He was responsible for the strategic direction, operation and management of CAA’s acquisition, program management and systems engineering business interest.  In addition, Mr. Porter provided oversight and thought leadership for CAA in the areas of capital planning and investment control, strategic planning, program management, requirements analysis, acquisitions consulting and systems engineering.

From 2000 through 2007, Mr. Porter was a senior program manager at the Federal Aviation Administration where he was responsible for the management and direction of FAA’s Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) Program.  The FTI program was a $3.5 Billion performance based telecommunications services contract that saved FAA over $800 Million.

Mr. Porter holds an MS in technology systems management from the University of Maryland, and a BS in Technology Management from North Carolina A&T State University.
