Summary

Ms. Betsy Hancock brings more than 25 years of experience in senior level administrative, communication and governmental affairs positions managing complex issues and organizations. Having served on the federal and state levels of government, as well as in the non-profit and private sectors, Betsy contributes a wide range of expertise and provides a unique perspective to all of her Deep Water Point clients.

Accomplishments

Prior to joining Deep Water Point, Betsy held the position of senior director of business development in Homeland Security for General Dynamics Information Technology. She worked at the Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration as the director of special projects in the Office of Transportation Vetting and Credentialing. As part of the Administration of Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Governor Tom Ridge, Betsy was appointed deputy secretary in the PA Department of Revenue. 

Earlier in her career, Betsy served in the U.S. Department of Transportation as the director of Intergovernmental Affairs and at the Peace Corps where she was the White House liaison.  Betsy began her career in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill serving as legislative director for Congressman Bob Walker.

A native of Hershey, Pennsylvania, Betsy is a graduate of Shippensburg University.
